About Us
History of the Church
The origins of Faith Revival Assembly are rooted in a profound season of spiritual testing and divine encounter experienced by Reverend Eddie Annan and his family. During what may be described as a “wilderness experience,” a period marked by uncertainty, waiting, and deep reliance on God, Reverend Annan received a divine instruction to begin a new ministry. This formative season, though challenging, became the crucible through which the vision of Faith Revival Assembly was conceived.
Central to this journey was the invaluable support and spiritual oversight of Reverend Alfred Nyamekye, whose guidance, discipline, and mentorship proved instrumental. His consistent encouragement and wise counsel sustained Reverend Annan and his family through moments of doubt and anticipation, helping them remain steadfast while awaiting clarity regarding the unfolding of God’s purpose.
At the time, the precise manner and timing of this calling were not yet revealed. However, a pivotal moment occurred on a Sunday when the family did not attend church. In that seemingly ordinary moment, Reverend Annan’s four-year-old son posed a simple yet profound question: “Why don’t we start a church?” This unexpected remark was discerned as a divine confirmation—an unmistakable affirmation of God’s timing and intent.
Following this moment, the family with Auntie Pat and Sister BB committed themselves to earnest prayer, seeking divine direction and assurance. Through this period of spiritual engagement, clarity emerged. Under the leading of the Holy Spirit, it was decided that the first Sunday service would be held on 6th March 2011. In faithful obedience, they stepped forward, embracing what they believed to be God’s appointed time.
What began as a humble act of faith has since developed into Faith Revival Assembly, a growing community of believers united in worship and purpose. The Assembly gathers to worship God through Jesus Christ, bearing witness to a faith that has been tested yet ultimately renewed. This testimony of endurance and revival remains foundational to the identity of the church.
Faith Revival Assembly stands firmly upon the conviction that God is the unchanging foundation and anchor of all faith. Despite the diversity of its members—spanning various backgrounds, cultures, and nationalities—the church exists as a unified spiritual family. It upholds the belief that every individual is endowed with a unique divine purpose.
The central mission of the Assembly is to bring hope to the world by directing people to Jesus Christ. It seeks particularly to uplift those burdened by life’s adversities, encouraging them to remain steadfast in their faith and focused on their Creator. The continued existence and growth of Faith Revival Assembly serve as a living testimony to the power and faithfulness of God.
In all things, the church affirms that there is nothing beyond God’s ability. As such, His name is continually exalted, now and forevermore. Amen.
